My family needed a very inexpensive service for a cremation and we found this wonderful company. The owner was very compassionate and provided excellent service. I highly recommend this company if you don’t want to pay much but of course want a dignified cremation or funeral.

I would recommend Century Direct Funeral Home Services again and again due to Theresa Ventimiglia. She is the real deal. Genuinely compassionate. Very adept and intelligent. I would not be surprised if she was the valedictorian of her class. One of the things I most appreciated about Theresa was her excellent communication skills. She explained things so well. Very thorough. The details meant a lot!
I found her to be such a comfort and a calm to the storm of my emotions and feeling overwhelmed at the sudden loss of my father. My father was living in NY, and I had to go back to Virginia where I live. Due to Covid-19 and to avoid exposure meeting her at the funeral home, Theresa said she could instead meet me at my hotel (45 minutes away guesstimate), to handle the paper work. She did and was very prompt. She explained she would always answer my calls and if she did not immediately, she was likely with another client and would call me back when she was able. She gets an A+ for always getting back to me and answering any questions.
When I returned to Virginia, she handled everything and even overnighted the death certificates I requested. Through and through she communicated, explained things very well, made things happen expeditiously, and always with professionalism and sincere empathy. I also appreciate that her pricing was the most affordable, especially in a time with so many Covid-19 related deaths where funeral homes could increase prices or take advantage. She broke down the pricing, (in the paper work setting), and explained each cost and how she came up with the numbers. Very fair and reasonable.
Theresa is authentic and a person of integrity. I am grateful that my sister found her through her search amongst the myriad of funeral directors. Not sure how anyone can top her.

My mom passed away last February 2020. Theresa took care of everything that’s needed for my mom to have a decent and solemn funeral. I think the last thing you need to worry about when someone you love passed away was having to arrange for the funeral. You can’t think straight specially when you are grieving. I can’t believe how inexpensive was her service compared to all the other companies that I spoke to before her(located in NYC and in NJ). From the moment I talked to her on the phone I can feel her compassion and concern. She told me how much it’s going to cost (which is a quarter of the cheapest quote that I got from another company) and sent me all the paper works that we need to sign and submit. Actually I was a bit hesitant at first as we just talked over the phone and didn’t meet her until the day of the cremation, yes she was there on the day of the cremation at Greenwood Crematory in NJ to make sure everything will go well and my mom and everyone is taken cared of. I would also like to mention that My mom was wearing her ring when she passed away in the hospital and we asked if we can get the ring and she arranged it with the hospital and gave us the ring when we met her at the chapel. The cremation was scheduled at 12 noon but she gave us more than enough time to bid my mom goodbye one last time in a beautiful chapel. We didn’t feel rushed as she was willing to wait for other guests who came in a little late. She was very respectful and compassionate all the way. We can’t really thank her enough. She is indeed a blessing. Thank you so much Theresa. God bless you more.
